CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE MANMOHAN

O R D E R

% 08.03.2016 The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents No.1 and 2 to issue Other Backward Class (OBC) Certificates to the petitioners.

It has been averred that the petitioners belong to 'Jat' Community and that the father of the petitioners is the permanent resident of Delhi since 1997.

A perusal of the file reveals that on 12th August, 2014, the father of the petitioners had made a representation to the Divisional Magistrate, Rohini District (North-West), Kanjhawala with regard to non-submission of OBC Certificate application form. The said application/representation has not been disposed of till date. Consequently, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the application/representation of the father of the petitioners dated 12th August, 2014 at page 55 of the paper book as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of

eight weeks.

In the event, the petitioners are still aggrieved by the decision of respondent No.2, they shall be at liberty to challenge the same in accordance with law.

It is, however, clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the controversy. Rights and contentions of all the parties are left open.
