By way of this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has made the following prayer:- (i) To issue directions to the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to provide protection to the petitioner and his wife from the acts of respondent Nos.3 to 8 and to ensure that respondent Nos.3 to 8 do not assault the petitioner. 2.

Detailed status report on behalf of the State has been filed wherein it is specifically mentioned that on enquiry from the neighbours the contents made in the petition were not found to be fully correct. It is further mentioned in the status report that even enquiry was made from Dr.(Mrs.) Deepa Bajaj of Bajaj Clinic as per which patient Nancy came to her clinic but she was not found pregnant.

It is further submitted by the State that though statement of 11 neighbours have been recorded to the effect that no one has broken the door of the complainant or beaten his wife, State is providing protection to the petitioner on assessing the element of threat, if any. It is also submitted by the State that mobile number of concerned SHO/Beat Constable has been given to the Petitioner to enable him to contact if necessity arises and the call shall be attended on urgent basis.

Learned counsel for the petitioner though dispute the contents of the status report but submits that if the protection is provided the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed.

In view of the above submissions made on behalf of the State, nothing further survives in the writ petition and the same is hereby dismissed. PRATIBHA RANI, J.
