Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that in view of notification dated 25.11.2016, whereby, the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Repeal Act, 2003 has been brought into force w.e.f. 01.12.2016, the writ petition has become infructuous. The petitioners do not wish to proceed with the writ petition which is dismissed as infructuous. The dismissal of the writ petition will not prevent the petitioners from taking such steps as may be available to the petitioners in accordance with law.
