The present application is filed seeking regular bail in FIR No. 418/2016 dated 26.09.2016, registered at Police Station Nangloi, for offences under Sections 186/353/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('IPC').

The learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant is in custody for almost eight years and the trial has still not concluded.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State, at the outset, points out that the trial is at the fag end and only two witnesses remain to be examined.

HPC guidelines, was also involved in serious offences which led to the registration of FIR No. 646/2021 under Section 25 of the Arms Act, 1959 and FIR No. 548/2021 under Sections 302/307/120B/34 of the IPC at Police Station Nangloi. 7.

Considering that the trial is at the fag end and the applicant also got involved in other serious offences while on interim bail, this Court does not consider it apposite to entertain the present petition at this stage.

In view of the above, the present bail application is dismissed.

Considering that the chargesheet was filed way back on 21.12.2016, the learned Trial Court is requested to conclude the evidence within a period of six months.
