The present petition filed under Section 29A (4) & (5) of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeks extension of time for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of the arbitral record. 4.
The learned Sole Arbitrator was appointed on 11.07.2022 by mutual consent of the parties to adjudicate the disputes between the parties. The disputes between the parties have arisen in the context of a tender dated 24.04.2019 bearing No.05/51/23U2/GAIL/015 (E-Tender No.8000014789) for procurement of Long Radius Bends on Annual Rate Contract (ARC) basis for its Barauni - Guwahati Pipeline Project valid for two years from the date of Fax of acceptance & Letter of Acceptance.In response to the said tender, the Claimant videletter dated 14.05.2019 submitted its offer No The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Offer/Bid of the Claimant was found acceptable and consequently the Claimant was declared as a successful bidder and consequently Letter of Acceptance bearing no. GAIL///4100000458/8000014789 was issued on 20.07.2019 by the Respondent 2 in favour of the Claimant and thereafter, the Contract was awarded to the Claimant.

The arbitration proceedings are currently at the stage of recording of evidence. It is jointly prayed that some further time be granted to complete the arbitral proceedings and make of the arbitral award. 6.
In view of the aforesaid, the time period for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of the arbitral award is extended till 30.11.2025, as prayed for.
