O R D E R
% 21.12.2016 Learned counsel for respondent states that the new Land Acquisition Collector, District North, has taken over his office. He has also handed over a copy of the Notice dated 20th December, 2016 issued by the Land Acquisition Collector to the petitioner. The same is taken on record. Learned counsel for respondent further assures this Court that petitioner's application under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act 1894, shall be disposed of within a period of four weeks.
In view of the aforesaid statement, which is accepted by this Court, present contempt petition is disposed of.
In the event, the petitioner's application under Section 28-A is not disposed of within a period of four weeks, petitioner is given liberty to seek revival of the present contempt petition.
