W.P.(CRL) 782/2018 By this petition the petitioner seeks parole to combat inner stress, reestablish social ties and to live with her sister-in-law who has to deliver a child soon and also challenges the communication dated 28th February, 2018 rejecting the application of the petitioner for grant of parole on the ground that the conduct of the petitioner in the jail is unsatisfactory and he has been awarded punishment on 28th February, 2017 and 31st July, 2017 regarding recovery of sim card and tobacco and fight with co-inmate respectively. A perusal of the Nominal Roll reveals that the petitioner was awarded jail punishment five times in the year 2010, thereafter, once in the year 2013 W.P.(CRL) 782/2018
and 2014 and twice in the years 2016 and 2017. Since more than one year has not elapsed from the last jail punishment, this Court finds no ground to quash communication dated 28th February, 2018 and grant parole to the petitioner.
Petition is dismissed.
A copy of this order be communicated to the petitioner through Superintendent, Tihar Jail.
