O R D E R
% 27.09.2017 Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel. She admits having settled the matter with the petitioner before the Mediation Centre, Rohini Court, New Delhi on 19th March, 2014 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She also admits that her marriage with the petitioner has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 12th January, 2015 passed by the Family Court, Rohini, New Delhi. In terms of the settlement, petitioner has paid `1.20 lacs (`1 lacs through demand draft and `20,000/- in cash) to the respondent no.2 which has been duly accepted by her. Respondent no.2 submits that entire settled amount stands paid with this payment and she has no objection in case FIR is quashed.
Keeping in mind that marriage between the petitioner and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce and respondent no.2 has no objection in quashing of the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 106/2013 under Sections 406/498-A/34 IPC registered at police station Aman Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
