By way of this application, the petitioner is seeking extension of parole granted to him vide order dated 27.04.2016. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that vide order dated 27.04.2016 the petitioner was granted parole for a period of four weeks to enable him to provide medical treatment to his mother as well as for maintaining social ties. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mother of the petitioner was suffering from Asthama. He further submits that due to illness, the mother of the petitioner expired on 27.04.2016. Copy of the death certificate has also been annexed with the application. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the period of parole of the petitioner is going to expire on 31st May, 2016 and petitioner is seeking W.P.(CRL) 822/2016

extension of parole as he has to perform after death sacraments of his mother on 5th June, 2016 at Pehwa, District, Krukshetra, Haryana. Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for extension of parole. 3.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made above by learned counsel for the petitioner, the prayer of the petitioner for extension of parole is allowed. The period of parole granted to the petitioner vide order dated 27.04.2016 is extended till 6th June, 2016 on the same terms and conditions with the modification only to the extent that the petitioner is allowed to go to Pehwa, District, Krukshetra, Haryana on 5th June, 2016 to perform after death sacraments of his mother. 4.

However, the petitioner is directed to surrender after expiry of extended period of parole.

Application stands disposed of.

As prayed, copy of the order be given dasti to learned counsel for the parties.

A copy of this order be also sent to the concerned Jail Superintendent for information.
