% 28.03.2017 CM No.12091/2017 in W.P.(C) 2318/2017 This is an application seeking early hearing. The application is allowed. The writ petition shall be taken up today itself. The next date earlier fixed i.e. of 15.05.2017 stands cancelled.

W.P.(C) 2318/2017 The petitioner is merely seeking forwarding of the reference under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. The learned counsel for the respondents had taken time to indicate the status of the application. The learned counsel submits that instructions are still not forthcoming. Since the petitioner is merely seeking forwarding of the reference, we can dispose of this writ petition by directing that the reference, if it is pending, shall be forwarded by the land Acquisition Collector to the concerned court within eight weeks from today in accordance with law.
