By way of the present petition, the petitioner challenges the order dated 31.05.2024 (hereafter 'the impugned order') passed by the learned Family Court, pursuant to which the petitioner was directed to pay an interim maintenance of ₹4,000/- (each) per month to the respondents- wife and minor child. 2.
There is an inordinate delay in challenging the impugned order. Apart from the fact that delay in filing the petition has not been explained, this Court also finds no merit in the present petition.

Undisputedly, the petitioner is an able-bodied man and, therefore, can earn at least 16,000/- to 20,000/- per month so as to pay the meagre sum of ₹4,000/- (each) per month to his wife and minor child.

Undisputedly, the impugned order only relates to interim maintenance. liberty to lead evidence in order to substantiate their allegations. However, at this stage, the grant of interim maintenance of ₹4,000/- (each) per month to the wife and minor child is not unreasonable.

The petition is, therefore, dismissed.
