This is a petition seeking directions to respondent no.1 to provide police protection to both the petitioners at the hands of respondent nos. 2 to 4 in view of threats to their lives.

Learned counsel who appears for the petitioners submits that respondent no.2 wanted to open a Gym in the building having 20 flats from upper ground floor to fourth floor and for the said purpose, he started demolishing the structure walls, endangering other residents. 3.

13380/2025 in which a stay order was granted by this Court on 01.09.2025 against further demolition and unauthorized construction activity. 4.

It is submitted that after the grant of stay order, respondent nos.2 to 4 are continuously threatening the petitioners to withdraw the case, and are extending life threats and intimidation via Whatsapp and in person and a police complaint with regard to this fact was made on 18.10.2025. However, no action has been taken.

The State is under a constitutional obligation to provide protection to its citizens, and this Court being the Constitutional Court is also expected to further the constitutional rights of the petitioners. 6.

In that view of the matter, the Court directs the State to provide protection to both the petitioners and ensure that no harm befalls either of them, particularly from respondents No. 2 to 4. 7.

It is further directed that the SHO of Police Station Jamia Nagar shall share his own mobile number as also the mobile number of the beat constable of the area where the petitioners are residing so that in case of any need or emergency, they may be contacted.
