This is a petition under Section 29A (4) & (5) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of six months for making the arbitral award. 2.
Material on record indicates that disputes arose between the parties under the Operations and Management Contract along with the Composite Supply Contract and Land & Site Development Contract dated 23.03.2018. 3.
It is stated that the Arbitral Tribunal was constituted to adjudicate upon the disputes between the parties and the arbitration proceedings commenced on 10.11.2023.

It is stated that the pleadings in the arbitration proceedings were completed on 29.05.2024. The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal was extended for a period of six months by mutual consent of the parties till 28.10.2025.

It is stated that since mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for making the award has come to an end on 28.10.2025, the Petitioner has approached this Court for extension of time for making the award. 6.
It is stated by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner that additional time of at least six months would be required by the Arbitral Tribunal for making the Arbitral Award.

Learned Counsel for the Respondent states that the Respondent does not have any objection to the extension of mandate. 8.
In view of the fact that the cross examination of the witness have been concluded and the written submissions have been directed to be filed by the parties and only final arguments have to take place, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal till 30.09.2026 so as to enable the Arbitral Tribunal to conclude the arbitration proceedings and pronounce the arbitral award.

The petition is disposed of along with the pending applications, if any.
