The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that appropriate directions be given to the respondents to frame guidelines for dealing with matters, relating to senior citizens. The petitioner is a senior citizen. The petitioner had visited the police station at Sabzi Mandi at 1:15 PM on 17.01.2018, to lodge a FIR relating to the theft of a battery from his car, bearing No. DL 8CR 3609. The petitioner alleges that the officers at the police station, namely, Head Constable Nagendra Kumar and ASI Har Swarup were very rude to him. They were also physically rough with him. 2.

In view of the above, the petitioner made a representation to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, North Delhi, but the same did not elicit any response.

The present petition was moved on 02.04.2018 and this Court had

passed certain directions to examine the petitioner's complaint and also examine the CCTV footage of the subject police station. 4.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondent states that in compliance with the orders passed by this Court, an inquiry was conducted and the allegations made by the petitioner were found to be merited. The concerned police officials have been visited with the punitive measure of a warning, which is also included in their service record. 5.

In addition, it is submitted that programmes for sensitizing police personnel on the matters relating to senior citizens are regularly undertaken, as a part of imparting soft skill training to the personnel. 6.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in this petition. The same is disposed of.
