The cause raised in the instant petition relates to early disposal of the petition filed by the petitioner under the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 and the Rules framed thereunder. Even the statutory mechanism requires a time-bound disposal of such complaints. In view thereof the Court finds that the matter is pending before the District Magistrate since 14.11.2023. It is therefore, appropriate to direct the District Magistrate to take up the said matter on priority and to decide as early as possible.

With respect to the second grievance i.e., inaction on the part of the respondent no.3 to the petitioner's complaint dated 09.01.2024 is concerned, let the concerned Sub Divisional Magistrate to independently deal with the said grievance with due expedition. Let the petitioner to furnish a copy of The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
