The parties are ad idem that the last date for approval/extension of approval as per schedule approved by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India is 15.11.2025 and the respondent PCI is yet to take a decision. 2.

In this backdrop, a prayer is made by the petitioners that their applications may be considered for extension of approval for the next academic session i.e. 2026-27.

This Court finds that the petitioners have been prosecuting their matters diligently from the months of September and October but the respondent PCI could not take final decision till date despite the time period having been extended by the Hon'ble Supreme Court till 15.11.2025 for processing their applications.

Since, as per the schedule the last date for completion of the entire process is 15.11.2025 and the decisions have not yet been communicated to the petitioners, this Court is of the view that the case of the petitioners for approval/extension of approval, as prayed by the petitioners, be now considered for the next academic year i.e. 2026-27. 5.

Accordingly, following directions are passed: (i) The applications of the petitioners which have already been submitted by the petitioners for the academic session 2025-26 may now be considered for the next academic session i.e. 2026-27 and the inspection report/deficiencies be communicated to the petitioners by the respondent PCI latest by 15.12.2025;

(ii) The petitioners shall thereafter submit their response-cumcompliance to the respondent PCI on or before 15.01.2026; (iii) The PCI shall then take a decision and communicate the same to the petitioners latest by 15.02.2026; and (iv) In the event any adverse decision is taken by the PCI against any petitioner, the remedies in accordance with law shall be available to the petitioners, which they may resort to. 6.

It is also clarified that the petitioners shall also upload the faculty details on Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) along with their response-cum-compliance, which as noted above, is to be done on or before 15.01.2026.

In view of the above directions, the orders which have been impugned in the present writ petitions does not survive, and are accordingly set aside. 8.
