The present petition is filed by the petitioner seeking quashing of FIR No. 50/2024 dated 25.02.2024, registered at Police Station Najaf Garh for the offences under Sections 376 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('IPC') on the ground that the parties have settled their disputes.

The FIR was registered pursuant to a complaint given by Respondent No. 2, wherein, she alleged that in 2010 the petitioner had taken an obscene photo of Respondent No. 2 and on the pretext of making the photo viral established forceful sexual relations with Respondent No. 2. It is alleged that on 01.02.2024 the petitioner again forcefully established sexual relations with Respondent No. 2.

However, today, the victim is again present in person and states that she was pressurised to give that statement and was not agreeable to the settle the present dispute.

Considering the above, I find no merit in the present petition and the same is dismissed.

The Investigating Officer is directed to investigate in regard to the allegations made by the victim that she was pressurized to make the statement and file an appropriate report before the Trial Court and if need be, take appropriate action in accordance with law.

Considering the allegations, the Delhi State Legal Services Authority is directed to interact with the victim and provide adequate legal service.
