Mr.Gautam Narayan, the learned ASC for GNCTD who appeared on advance notice on behalf of the respondents No.3 has brought to our notice the various steps taken to investigate into the incident that had taken place on 22.02.2017 in Delhi University.

It is also submitted by the learned ASC that pursuant to the complaint forwarded by the National Human Rights Commission, Delhi calling for a detailed report in respect of the said incident, the Commissioner of Police, Delhi/Respondent No.3 has constituted a Committee consisting of the following members to look into the matter and submit a report expeditiously:
(i) Joint CP, Crime (Head of Committee) (ii) DCP, Vigilance (Member) (iii) DCP, SPUWAC (Special Protection Union, Women and ChildLady Officer). 3.
A copy of the said order dated 03.03.2017 has also been produced and the same is taken on record. It is also stated by the learned ASC that as soon as the inquiry report is received, appropriate steps would be taken in accordance with law.

Recording the statement, the writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 5.
However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh writ petition in case necessity thereof arises.
