After addressing arguments for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition, while reserving the right of his client to file a fresh petition for directions to the respondent No.1/Govt. of NCT of Delhi to define 'remote/difficult areas', as contemplated in Regulation 9 (VII) of the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulation, 2000.

Leave, as prayed for, is granted. As and when the petitioner files a fresh petition, the same shall be considered in accordance with law. Liberty is granted to the respondents to take all the pleas as may be available to them, both on facts and in law, to oppose the same. 3.

The petition is dismissed as withdrawn, along with the pending application.
