O R D E R

% 13.07.2016 The present petition has been filed to seek the quashing of FIR No.84/2016 under Section 341/308/34 IPC registered at P.S. Kanjhawala on the complaint of Mr. Om, respondent No.2. Respondent No.3 was stated to be the eye witness to the incident.

The present petition is premised on a compromise arrived at between the complaintant respondent No.2 and the petitioners. The compromise deed signed by the said parties is placed on record, which is also witnessed by respondent No.3. Under the compromise, respondent No.2 does not wish to pursue his complaint against the petitioners. Respondent No.2 is present in court. He is identified by his counsel as well as the I.O.

On being questioned, he states that he has arrived at the settlement out of his own free will and that he does not wish to pursue the complaint. In the aforesaid circumstances, no useful purpose would be served in carrying out further investigation in the FIR in question. In the interest of justice, the FIR is quashed.

Petition stands disposed of.
