The present writ petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondents for demolition of unauthorized construction being carried out by respondent no.3 in the property/building bearing No. C-42, East of Kailash, New Delhi.

None appears on behalf of the respondent no.1/MCD. 3.

In the status report dated 14th March, 2026, filed on behalf of the respondent no.1/MCD, it is stated that pursuant to demolition order dated 19th June, 2025, partial demolition action was taken against the subject property on 16th February, 2026.

Subsequently, the owner/occupier has filed an appeal against the demolition order dated 19th June, 2025 before the Appellate Tribunal, MCD W.P.(C) 16515/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. ('ATMCD') in which interim protection has been granted in his favour vide order dated 23rd February, 2026.

Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of while directing the respondents to take appropriate action based on the outcome of the appeal before the ATMCD.
