O R D E R

The present proceedings are instituted on behalf of the petitioner seeking quashing of FIR No. 231/2019 registered under Sections 354/354B/323/34 IPC at P.S. Farsh Bazar, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.

As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, respondent No.2 was beaten and touched inappropriately by the petitioner husband and her father in law. 3.

Ld. APP for the State, on instructions, submits that apart from present petitioner his father was also an accused in the said FIR who has since expired. He further submits that respondent No. 2 is the only complainant in the present case.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and respondent No. 2 are related to each other being husband and wife and present FIR was registered due to misunderstanding and with the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. intervention of family members and friends, parties have amicably settled their disputes vide Settlement Agreement dated 04.05.2022, a copy of which has been placed on record. It is further submitted that petitioner and respondent No.2 are living together.

The petitioner and respondent No.2, who are present in Court, have been identified by their counsel as well as the I.O. 6.

Respondent No. 2 states that she has entered into the aforementioned Settlement out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She further state that she has been living with the petitioner happily and she does not wish to continue with the present FIR and the same may be quashed. 7.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and considering that the present issue arose out of a matrimonial dispute between the parties which they have settled, no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings. Accordingly, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed. 9.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of alongwith miscellaneous application.
