% 22.11.2024 1.
This is a petition filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking quashing of F.I.R. No. 0462/2022, dated 02.07.2022 registered at P.S. Jyoti Nagar under Sections 498A/406/34 of IPC, 1860 and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom. 2.
During the pendency of the parties, the parties have arrived at a settlement before the Ld. Principal Judge, Family court, Karkardooma whereby it is stated that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 are happily living together with their two children namely Lavanya, aged 12 years old and Rudra, aged 16 years.
3.
Petitioner no. 1 i.e. Mr. Rahul Sharma is appearing through video conference mode and is identified by his counsel namely, Ms. Kalpana Sharma, Adv.

4.
Respondent no. 2 i.e. Ms. Anita Rani is present in person and is identified by her counsel namely, Ms. Rakhi Rajput, Adv and Invesigating Officer SI Pankaj, PS Jyoti Nagar.
5.
Respondent No.2 states that she has no grievance against the petitioner and has no objection, if the FIR in question is quashed. 6.
Both the parties state that they have entered into the aforesaid settlement out of their own free will, volition and without any threat, force, undue influence or coercion.
7.
Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure the ends of justice. This court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to be prosecuted any further. It is a fit case for quashing. In this view of the matter, there is no reason to continue the proceedings. 8.
For the reasons noted above, F.I.R. No. 0462/2022, dated 02.07.2022 registered at P.S. Jyoti Nagar under Sections 498A/406/34 of IPC, 1860 and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed. 9.
The petition is disposed of accordingly.
