This is a petition under Section 29-A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('Act of 1996') seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a further period of twelve (12) months w.e.f. 30.11.2024 for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of arbitral award.

It is stated that previously a similar petition under Section 29-A of the Act of 1996 was filed and this Court vide order dated 07.12.2023 in O.M.P.(MISC) (COMM.) 384/2023 had extended the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of fifteen (15) months w.e.f. 01.09.2024 to 30.11.2024.

Mr. Salil Sinha, Advocate enters appearance on behalf of the Respondent and states that he as well, joins the Petitioner's request of O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 914/2024 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of twelve (12) months.

Learned counsels for the parties' state that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of recording of evidence. They state that witnesses of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited ('IOCL') are being currently examined. 5.
Having considered the averments made in the petition and in view of the joint request of the parties, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for completion of arbitral proceedings and for passing an arbitral award is extended by a period of twelve (12) months w.e.f. 30.11.2024.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.
