This is a petition filed under Section 29A (4) & (5) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of learned Sole Arbitrator by a period of four months to make and publish the award. 5.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner urges the Court that the extension may be granted for a period of six months. 6.
Issue notice.

I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown. Accordingly, the mandate of the learned sole Arbitrator is extended by six months to make and publish the award.

It is pointed out that the mandate of the learned sole Arbitrator got expired on 31.10.2024. In that view of the matter, the period from 31.10.2024 till today stands regularized.
