Present public interest petition has been filed seeking issuance of directions to respondent nos.1 to 5 to demolish the illegal and unauthorised construction carried out by respondent nos.6 to 8 at property admeasuring 500 sq. yards bearing property no.1788 and 1789, Main Road, Lal Kuan Chandni Chowk (MCD Ward No.79), Delhi - 110006 ("subject property"). 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that respondent nos.6 to 8 are illegally carrying out construction of around fifty shops on the first floor and fifty shops on the ground floor on the subject property for commercial purposes without any sanction plan from respondent no.1/MCD. states that respondent nos.6 to 8 have encroached upon public space and constructed a six storied building on the subject property. 3.

Learned counsel for the STF states that petitioner's complaint has been forwarded to the MCD.

Mr. Manu Chaturvedi, learned counsel for the MCD states that the demolition order dated 14th November, 2024 with regard to the property in question has been passed. He states that as soon as the GRAP Stage-IV embargo is lifted, the said demolition order will be executed / implemented. 5.

Recording the aforesaid statement, the present writ petition along with applications is closed.
