The Petitioners, who are Senior Citizens, have filed an application under Rule 22(3)(1) of the Delhi Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Rules (Amendment) 2016 and Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 before Respondent No.1. 2.
The limited prayer sought in the present petition is a direction to Respondent No. 1 to decide the said application in a timebound manner. 3.
Ms. Geeta Sachdeva, Respondent No. 2 in person, is directed to appear before the District Magistrate on 09th December, 2024. documents which has been filed before the District Magistrate, to Respondent No. 2 within a period of one week from today. Respondent No.2 is permitted to file response/reply to the said application before Respondent No. 1 within a period of two weeks from today. Petitioners are permitted to file rejoinder thereto, if any, within a period of two weeks thereafter 4.
Once the pleadings are complete, Respondent No. 1 is directed to decide the Petitioners application as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from today.
