By way of present petition, the petitioner seeks the following prayers: "In view of foregoing, it is most respectfully prayed that Writ of Mandamus and/or any other appropriate Writ, Order(s) and/ or Direction(s) in the nature thereof may kindly be issued in the matter, thereby, protecting the petitioner for being booked for violation, if any, of section 14 of the Foreigners Act, 1946, by way of allowing him to stay in the country till his case, "titled as Customs vs. Jomo/din" in which he was arrested on 25.09.2024, for the offences punishable under 132 and 135 of the Customs Act, 1962, stands dispose off or for such period as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper; and / or any other order as may be proper; and I or any other order as may be deemed fit and proper may also be passed in favor of the petitioner..." 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has already approached FRRO with the requisite prayer.
