The petitioner assails the amount assessed in respect of the consumption of electricity in three bills dated 05.07.2024, 05.08.2024 and 04.09.2024, issued to him by the respondent. His electricity connection has since been disconnected for want of payment, and he also seeks a direction to restore the electricity connection. 2.

Mr. Rishab Raj Jain, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent, points out that these disputes are amenable to the jurisdiction of the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum ["CGRF"] established under Section 42(5) of the Electricity Act, 2003 ["the Act"], and thereafter to the Ombudsman established under Section 42(6) of the Act. 3.
