This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No.614/2020 registered at PS. BindaPur under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties dated 24th September 2024. 2.
Petitioner Nos.1-5 and respondent No.2 are present before this Court, duly identified by the IO and respective counsels. 3.
Respondent No.2 has received the outstanding balance payment of Rs.2 lacs through DD No. 003308 dated 11th November 2024, and duly accepts the same. She states that she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR. 4.
Petitioner No.1 and respondent No.2 were divorced by decree dated 26th October, 2024. No child was born out of the wedlock. 5.

of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 614/2020 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at P.S. Bindapur and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 7.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
