1. It is clear that none of the prayers, i.e. the main prayers and the alternative prayer, in this petition can be pressed in view of the Petitioners wanting to pursue their representation under Section 48 of Land Acquisition Act, 1894. Counsel for the Petitioners accordingly categorically states that none of the prayers in the present petition are pressed.

2. This Court had by its order on 13th November, 2018 directed the Respondents to file an affidavit indicating the status of the above representation of the Petitioners. Learned counsel for the LAC today informs the Court that she has oral instructions that the said representation is still pending consideration.

3. In that view of the matter, the Court directs the Respondents to decide the said representation not later than eight weeks from today and communicate the decision to the Petitioners within two weeks thereafter. If aggrieved by such decision, it will be open to the Petitioners to seek appropriate remedies in accordance with law.
