This is a petition filed under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a further period of 1 year for making and publishing the final Award.

Mr. Harshan, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that the delay has occurred as the petitioner had challenged the interim order dated 01.03.2024 of the Arbitral Tribunal by filing a CM(M) 2443/2024, which is still pending.

For the said reasons, issue notice.

Mr. Niket, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.

Hence, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended upto 1 year from today to conclude the arbitration proceedings. 7.
