The petitioner in this case claims to be a society seeking relief in respect of private individuals asserting rights in immoveable property. In our view, this petition cannot be maintained as a public interest litigation.

In view thereof, Mr. Gopal Subramanium, learned Senior Counsel very fairly concedes this proposition and seeks leave to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to the members of the

petitioner to invoke such remedy as may be available in law. 3.
