The present petition has been filed seeking directions to respondent No. 1 (DBS Bank) for de-freezing the account of the petitioner. 2.
A careful perusal of the averments made in the petition would reflect that the lien for an amount of Rs. 5,16,152/- had been placed/marked in the account of the petitioner, on the basis of the notice which the Bank had received from Cyber Crime, Tamil Nadu.

The details of the above said case have also been mentioned in the e-mail dated 19.03.2024 (Annexure P-2 herein). 4.
There are two subsequent e-mails dated 01.08.2024 and 08.08.2024, reiterating the same.

When asked, learned counsel for petitioner, very fairly, admitted that petitioner had merely contacted the concerned investigating agency telephonically only and did not file any application, as such, before the concerned Court, seized with the above said matter. After hearing arguments for some time, learned counsel for petitioner submits that he would exhaust his available legal remedy and if required, he would file the writ petition again.

In view of the above, he seeks permission to withdraw the present petition, without prejudice to his rights and contentions. 8.
The petition is, accordingly, dismissed as not pressed. Liberty, as prayed, is granted.
