This is a petition filed under Section 29A (4) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitrator by a further period of 9 months for making and publishing of the Final Award.

Mr. Sunny, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that the delay occurred on account of amendment sought in Statement of Claims. 3.

For the said reasons, issue notice.

Ms. Mukim, learned SC accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.

In the view of the above, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitrator is extended by a period of 9 months from today. 7.
