The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeks the following prayers:- "A. Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction to the Respondent to restore the registration of the Petitioner till 01.01.2017 and to sanction the pension and release the dues of the Petitioner with 10% interest per annum; B. Direct the Respondent to pay costs.
C. Pass any other order or direction as may be deemed fit." 4.
It is pointed out that the representation dated 16.10.2024, an application under Section 17 (proviso) of the Building and other Construction Workers Act, 1996 was sent to the respondent seeking restoration of the registration, approval of the pensionary benefits and remaining dues as on 01.01.2017. However, it is pointed out that no response has been forthcoming. 5.
In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with the directions to the respondent to decide the aforesaid representation/ application of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today with due intimation to the latter.

Needless to state that the petitioner will be at liberty to initiate the appropriate proceedings in accordance with law after the aforesaid decision, if so advised.
