By way of the present petition, the petitioners are seeking quashing of FIR bearing no. 343/2025, registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj (South), New Delhi for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 448/380/34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC'). 4.

The petitioners and respondent no. 2 are present before this Court in person. They have been identified by their counsels and concerned Investigating Officer (IO) from Police StationVasant Kunj (South), New Delhi.

Briefly stated, the facts of the present case pertains to a property dispute between the petitioner, complainant/respondent no. 2 and her family members qua the property bearing No. K-513C, Mahipalpur, New Delhi. The complainant claims ownership of the said property, asserting that it was purchased from one Kishan, the legal heir of the original owner, Late Smt. Devi Pati.

It is stated that the respondent and his family members are tenants occupying the first floor of the property. However, the respondent disputes the complainant's ownership and has filed a civil suit for specific performance and injunction, CS No. DJ 260/2023, titled 'Gayatri Devi vs. Vinod Kumar Ojha & Ors.', wherein the complainant herein is the respondent and the matter is presently pending before the learned Trial Court. The petitioner has also instituted a criminal complaint i.e., case No. 928/2023, titled Gayatri Devi vs. Vicky Yadav & Ors., in which the present complainant is one of the accused.

On the complaint of respondent no. 2, the present FIR was registered against the petitioners under the relevant sections and after completion of investigation, a chargesheet was filed before the concerned Court. However, an amicable settlement between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 is stated to have been arrived before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Patiala House Courts, New Delhi, whereby all the disputes between the parties were settled The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no.2, who has been identified by the concerned IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by respondent no. 2 that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties and therefore, he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed.

In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 11.

Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 343/2025, registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj (South), New Delhi for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 448/380/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

In view of the above, the present petition stands disposed of. 13.
