O R D E R
% 23.03.2018 Vide the present application, the applicant has sought grant of interim bail for a period of one month from the date of his release submitting inter alia to the effect that the prayer now made on behalf of the applicant is confined to the extent that the applicant who is pursuing his Masters of Arts in Political Science from IGNOU has to submit his assignment by 31.03.2018 as per the schedule of core courses of Masters of Arts in Political Science from IGNOU and thus he may be released to prepare the said assignment and to submit the same.
On behalf of the State, the status report has been submitted to the effect that the applicant is a student of Master of Arts in Political Science of this University bearing Enrolment No. 176067814 but it has been submitted on behalf of the State by the learned APP for the State that as informed by BAIL APPLN. 607/2018
the said authorities, the applicant can submit his assignment either in person or through any representative or by post / courier and the letter dated 22.03.2018 of Mr. V. Gowri Sankar, Assistant Registrar (Assignment) to that effect has also been placed on record. It has however been submitted on behalf of the applicant that the assignment can be submitted by the applicant for which he has to prepare himself.
The Investigating Officer in reply to the specific Court query submits that there are no previous adverse evidence against the applicant and he is aged 24 years.
In the interest of justice, it is considered appropriate to allow the prayer made by the applicant to be released on interim bail till the date 31.03.2018 subject to the appellant furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.50,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Trial Court to submit his assignment of the Masters of Arts in Political Science from IGNOU and subject to the conditions that he shall not leave the country without the permission of the learned Trial Court, shall not intimidate the witnesses in any manner, shall not tamper with the evidence and shall surrender himself before the Superintendent Jail, Delhi on 01.04.2018.
The application is disposed of accordingly.
