O R D E R

% 05.09.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, FIR No.75/2006 under Sections 406/498-A/34 IPC registered at police station Keshav Puram on the complaint of respondent no.2 may be quashed. Petitioner nos. 2 to 6 are relatives of petitioner no.1. Photocopy of the Settlement / Agreement dated 15th March, 2016 arrived at between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 before the Mediation Centre, Rohini Courts has been placed on record as Annexure P-2.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court with her counsel and has been identified by SI Sudhir, PS Keshav Puram. Respondent no.2

admits having settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She submits that her marriage with petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent vide order dated 16th November, 2016 passed by the Family Courts, North West District, Rohini, Delhi. Petitioner no.1 has paid `4,00,000/- to the respondent no.2 by way of three Demand Drafts, photocopies whereof have been placed on record. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

Keeping in view of the fact that settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no.2, in the interest of justice, FIR No.75/2006 under Sections 406/498-A/34 IPC registered at police station Keshav Puram and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
