O R D E R

% 17.03.2017 Crl.M.A. No. 4500/2017 Exemption allowed, subject to all just exceptions. The application stands disposed of.

W.P.(CRL) 823/2017 The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.0002/2017 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 420 IPC against the petitioner at Police Station - Naraina. Issue notice. Ms. Vohra accepts notice. Respondent No.2 is also present and he accepts notice. He is identified by the I.O.

The parties have arrived at a settlement on 18.01.2017, which has been placed on record. The complainant states that he has not been subjected to any pressure or coercion and that he has entered the settlement out of his own free will. The complainant further states that he joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question.

The petitioner, who is present in Court, states that to atone for his conduct, which involves issuance of a cheque by him even after the account had been closed by him, he is ready & willing to be subjected to such terms as this Court may deem appropriate.

Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings emanating therefrom. Subject to deposit of Rs.25,000/- by the petitioner in the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund within four weeks, and the receipt of the said deposit being provided to the I.O. concerned, the FIR in question and the proceedings emanating therefrom shall stand quashed.
