While informing that the petitioner has received the amount of refund, which was pending with by the respondents, learned counsel for petitioner sought permission to withdraw the present writ petition. He, however, submitted that though the basic amount has been refunded but applicable interest has not been paid to the petitioner. 2.
While disposing of the writ petition as withdrawn, we direct the authorities concerned to make payment of the applicable interest under Section 244 and 244A of the Income Tax Act, 1961 within a period of 60 days of placing a certified copy of the order instant.
