The application stands disposed of.

This is a petition seeking quashing of the FIR No. 183/2021 dated 06.04.2021 registered PS Govind Puri under Sections 498A/406/34 of IPC.

As per the FIR, there are allegation of cruelty, harassment and demand of dowry.

The parties have arrived at a settlement dated 30.08.2024 before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, Delhi, wherein the petitioner has agreed to pay a sum of Rs. 2 lakhs to the respondent No.2. A sum of Rs. 1.5 has already been paid by the petitioner to the respondent No.2 and the balance sum of Rs. 50,000/- is being paid today vide DD No. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The petitioner is present in Court and has been identified by Mr. Mahesh Kumar, learned counsel.

The respondent No.2 is also present in Court through video conference mode and has been identified by the SI Yashvir Sharma, PS Govindpuri.

The original DD of Rs. 50,000/- has been handed over to the IO and the respondent No.2 shall collect the same from the IO. 7.

There are 2 children born out of the wedlock who are in the care and custody of the petitioner.

As per the judgment of 'Ganesh vs. Sudhir Kumar Srivastava' [(2020) 20 SCC 787], it is directed that the settlement executed between the parties, and this order shall have no effect on the rights of children of the parties, who shall be free to avail of all their legal rights and remedies towards inheritance, maintenance, education, marriage expenses etc. against either of their parents in accordance with law. 9.

For the said reasons, the FIR No. 183/2021 dated 06.04.2021 registered PS Govind Puri under Sections 498A/406/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
