Present public interest petition has been filed seeking issuance of directions to stop illegal construction in Mahendru Enclave, Delhi-110033. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that North Delhi Municipal Corporation ("NDMC") in its reply to the petitioner's RTI application dated 17th December, 2018 has stated that no building plan has been sanctioned in Mahendru Enclave till date. respect to the illegal and unauthorised construction of properties in Mahendru Enclave, Delhi-110033, however no action has been taken so far. 3.

He states that it was published in Hindustan Times News Paper on 11th August, 2024 that Mahfil Banquet Hall wherein construction was being carried out, even though it was sealed by the MCD, had collapsed and two labourers were injured and one died.

A perusal of the paper book reveals that no representation has been made to the Special Task Force (STF) before approaching this Court. Consequently, the present writ petition along with the application is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to approach the STF with its grievances. In the event, such complaint is filed with the STF, the same is directed to be disposed of in accordance with law, within four weeks.
