This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No.973/2022 registered at P.S. Nihal Vihar under Sections 406/498A/34 IPC, on the basis of a settlement arrived at between parties dated 31st May 2024, before the Counselling Cell, Tis Hazari Courts, which is on record of this Court. 2.

The settlement was between the petitioner and respondent No.2/complainant, that they will continue to reside as a married couple with no interference from in-laws and family members, and that petitioner will pay some amount as pocket money, and shall also abide by the other aspects of the settlement as well.

Respondent No.2 appears through VC, duly identified by IO and the respective counsels and states that there is no compliance of the settlement and she does not wish to give her consent to the quashing of the said FIR. 4.

In these circumstances, counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw this petition with the liberty to seek remedy at a subsequent stage. 5.

Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Liberty granted. 6.
