C.M.15323/2017 By way of this application, petitioners seek permission of this Court to withdraw the main writ petition.

In the main petition, petitioners had sought directions for quashing of impugned letter of 17th March, 2009, declining the petitioners' request regarding revision of the pay scale from `1640-2900/- to `2000-3200/- w.e.f. 19th March, 1996 and the benefit of non-functional pay scale of `8000-13500/- as well.

As per order of 6th October, 2015, respondents No.1 to 3 are duly represented by counsel. However, none appears on their behalf today even on the second call.

Learned counsel for petitioners submits that advance copy of this application has been already served upon counsel for respondents No.1 to 3.

Withdrawal of main petition is sought due to subsequent events and permission is sought to file a fresh comprehensive petition. Learned counsel for respondent No.4 submits that there is no opposition to withdrawal of the main petition.

In view of averments made in the application, it is allowed and the petitioners are permitted to withdraw the main petition with permission to file a fresh comprehensive petition within four weeks. The application stands disposed of.
