CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE C. HARI SHANKAR O R D E R (O R A L) % 29.05.2024 1.

Both the writ petitions are directed against an undated notice issued to the school run by Respondent 2 in the Tahirpur Leper Colony, whereby the school was proposed to be closed down. WP (C) 3806/2013 has been filed by the school and WP (C) 5914/2024 has been filed by a child who is studying in the school. Both petitions assail the decision to close down the school. 2.

Today Ms. Mehak Nagra, learned ASC appears for the Department of Social Welfare along with Ms. Swati Sharma, Superintendent, Department of Social Welfare and Ms. Aditi Kapoor. 3.

Ms. Sharma submits that her Department does not intend to pursue the proposal to close down the respondent school as it has found out thereafter that the school does not lie within its jurisdiction. 4.

In that view of the matter, the grievances in both the writ petitions do not survive for consideration. Both the writ petitions are disposed of.
