This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 168/2024, dated 03rd June 2024 under Section 420 IPC, PS Shaheen Bagh, Delhi on the basis of settlement dated 04th June, 2024, which is on record of this Court. 2.
Petitioner Nos.1-6 appear through VC and are duly identified by their IO as well the counsel. Respondent No.2 also appears through VC and is duly identified by the IO. The husband of respondent No.2, Mr. Akash Verma, is present in Court and has received the demand draft No.288898 dated 14th October, 2024 drawn on Indian Bank for amount of Rs.2,50,000/-. Both respondent No.2 and the husband confirm that they have received the payments in the settlement.

Accordingly, they have no objection to the FIR being quashed. 4.
Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 168/2024, dated 03rd June 2024 under Section 420 IPC, PS Shaheen Bagh, Delhi and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 6.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
