The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking that respondent no.2 and 3 i.e. District Legal Services Authority (Central District) and Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) respectively, to immediately process and release the interim compensation to the petitioner under the Delhi Victim Compensation Scheme, 2018. 2.
It submitted that the petitioner submitted an application for the purpose of obtaining interim compensation before the Delhi State Legal Services Authority on 17.09.2025. It is pointed out that there is a statutory requirement under the extant rules to dispose of such application within 60 days.

It is stated that reminder emails have been sent by the petitioner to the District Legal Services Authority (Central District) and Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) emphasising the urgency of the matter. During the course of hearing, learned counsel for respondent nos.2 and 3 submits that a hearing has been scheduled tomorrow i.e. 14.11.2025 in which the petitioner as also the concerned Investigation Officer have been asked to appear along with the necessary documents. It is submitted that necessary exercise as per the established procedure is expected to be concluded as expeditiously, and the matter shall be placed before the Delhi Victim Compensation Committee for the expeditious decision. 5.
Let an endeavour be made to conclude the exercise expeditiously and disburse the interim compensation, if any, within a period of 4 weeks from today.
