% 25.04.2026 The present matter has been taken up today, i.e., 25th April, 2026 as 3rd March, 2026 was declared a holiday.

Status report on behalf of the respondent-MCD has been handed over in Court today and the same is taken on record. 2.

In the status report, it has been stated that the existing construction of the property, though unauthorized, is protected under the National Capital Territory of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Second (Amendment) Act, W.P.(C) 16886/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. 2011. In view thereof, the demolition action against the subject property has been kept in abeyance.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the grievance of the petitioner is not with respect to the existing structure but with respect to the fresh construction that is taking place in the subject property which is unauthorized. This aspect has already been addressed in the order passed by this Court on 7th November, 2025.

Taking note of the submissions of the respondent-MCD that there is no construction going on in the subject property and the photographs filed by the petitioner along with the petition are undated, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
