(ORAL) 1.

For the relief sought in this petition, petitioners had made a composite Representation (Annexure P-8) on 23rd September, 2017. Learned counsel for petitioners submits that the said Representation (Annexure P-8) was followed by another Representation of 23rd November, 2017 vide which relaxation of conditions regarding filling up of vacant posts of the subordinate staff was sought. W.P.(C) 2719/2018

The grievance of petitioners is that as per first respondent's Communication of 1st August, 2017 (Annexure P-3) regarding filling up of posts of ancillary staff alongwith filling up of posts of Judicial Officers, the vacant posts of Judicial Assistants/Junior Judicial Assistants in Delhi District Courts have not been filled up nor has the process to do so been initiated despite Circular of 31st May, 2017 of the District and Sessions Judge, South-East, Delhi highlighting acute shortage of staff. Learned counsel for petitioners submits that there is no effective response to said Representation (Annexure P-8).

In the facts and circumstances of this case, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of this petition while calling upon first respondent to consider petitioners' said Representation (Annexure P-8) expeditiously and to make all endeavours to fill up the vacant posts. Needless to say, the outcome of said Representation (Annexure P-8) would be made known by first respondent to petitioners within a period of twelve weeks or so. 4.
